Overview
The resort of Arenal d'en Castell, along with it's nearest neighbour Son Parc with its Golf course and Tennis facilities, are some of the larger holiday resorts on the north east coast approximately 20km north west of the Airport.
The bay at Arenal d'en Castell is a near perfect horseshoe. Mahon is also only 20 minutes away on the bus service that operates most days.
Facilities
Beach
Rated as one of the best beaches with tourist facilities on Menorca, especially for smaller children due it's perfect sands, gently sloping shallows into crystal clear turquoise waters. And while this makes it very popular for childern it's big enough for those who prefer to avoid the little ones to find their ideal spots!
The warm shallow waters of the bay make this resort very popular with families with young children. The beach is without doubt a major attraction of this resort with fine, clean sand and a good variety of water sports and other facilities available to suit all tastes.
There are a number of small Spar type supermarkets selling the everyday holiday essentials, along with a handful of other tourist type shops dotted around the resort. Adult entertainment from 9pm to midnight. No music after midnight. Bars stay open until later but there are no nightclubs. Resort well suited for families with young children. Good selection of shops, snack bars, supermarkets, banks(inc ATMs), bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Sailing is available in the nearby watersports centres of Fornells and golf and tennis in Son Parc is just 15 mins drive away.

Son Parc Golf and Tennis
Son Parc offers the islands only ( 2009) 18 hole golf course with putting green and (floodlit) driving range. There are also tennis courts available for hire (raquets and balls can be hired at golf shop ) and a comfortable club house bar with restaurant overlooking the course . The clubhouse terrace (open to non players) offers snacks, drinks and evening meals. Tee times can be booked in advance as can the tennis courts.
Hort de Llucaitx
Is a clean countryside recreation centre with things for big people and little people to do! Guided horse treks out into the nearby country side and coastal areas available for the bigger ones along with cycle hire and hiking trails. For the little ones there are play areas( inc trampolines, mini golf) pony and donkey rides and a few farm animals.

Nightime Entertainment
As with most resorts in Menorca, evening entertainment here is generally to be found in the resort' bars but nothing that would ever compare to the neon jungle of the popular resorts along the south coast of Majorca. Mahon and Ciutadella however offer something for everyone, but with none of the "binge drink clubbing" to be found on Ibizia and Majorca.
In the resorts there are various bars and restaurants with differing atmospheres catering to clientel both young and old.

Shoppen, Bummeln und Schlemmen, das kann man hier wunderbar. Dies ist eine tolle Stadt einfach früh oder spät abends wenn die Hitze der Sonne nicht da ist zu besuchen. Die "Dritte" Hauptstadt der Insel und ein Kulturzentrum. Die Altstadt ist sehr schön und macht eine große abwechselung zum Strand, mit einer guten Mischung von kleinen Geschäften, Cafés, Bars und Restaurants. Und einige super ( auch hausgemacht) Eiscafes! Kinderspielplatz liegt auf dem hübschen Dorfplatz (neben dem Eis Cafes!). Alaior hat auch einen Abendmarkt.

Fornells ist ein Wassersport-und Meeresfrüchte-Restaurant Eldorado. Das Dorf mit seiner Spezialität, Fisch-Restaurants befindet sich am Eingang zu einer großen geschlossenen natürlichen Bucht, deren geschützten Gewässern eignet sich als ideal für alle Arten von Segel-basierten 'Herumprobieren'. Fast wie ein großer Salzsee die Wellen und Windverhältnisse hier sind für Anfänger besonders geschätzt. Entlang dem hafen ist es Mittags und Abends sehr angenehm Getränke und Speisen zu geneißen.

S'Abufera Parc Natural - ist ein wunderbarer Ort für einen früh Morgens (Vermeidung der sommerlichen Hitze) spaziergang. Wanderwege führen durch Wälder und angenehme Landschaften zu den Dünen hinter dem schönen Strand von Es Grau. Laufen Sie weiter zum Fischerdorf Es Grau um Sonnenuntergänge am Strandufer liegende Cafe Bars zu genießen.

Es Castell - ist eine wunderbare Stadt mit einem großartigen mischung aus kleine Läden, Cafes, Bars, Restaurants und Clubs für jeden Geschmack, Preisklassen und Stilen. Nicht nur die umfangreichen Hafen Bereiche, sondern auch in den vielen Nebenstraßen.
